Abstract

This study analyzes social engineering as a systemic risk and strategic challenge. It highlights that technical defenses alone cannot ensure digital immunity, as most attacks exploit the human factor. The paper examines leadership accountability under NIS2 and the dependence of Return on Security Investment (ROSI) on human resilience. It demonstrates that without addressing cognitive vulnerabilities, the efficiency of technical controls declines. As a solution, an innovative Minecraft-based gamified methodology is presented, built on "cognitive slowing." Empirical results prove that through experiential learning, the manipulation success rate can be reduced from 60% to 20%, significantly enhancing organizational resilience and security culture.
