As there are just a few researches on heavy metals in soil in Mongolia, the examination will be led to investigate the
presence of any harmful metals in 22 samples with ICP-OES technique which is the most elemental analysis
technique. Samples will be collected from mining area which is in the desert, urban area in the capital city and
mountainous local city in Mongolia. The study will focus on determining the spread of heavy metal contents as well
as its health risk assessment and contamination level. The results will be analyzed with Mongolian standard for toxic
chemicals in soil. The modifications used to immobilize the pollutants may not be specialized for a certain metal,
resulting in the release of a hazardous metal into the soil. Therefore, there will be a need for developing new methods
that can effectively lead to removal of heavy metals from the contaminated soil. The dissertation will include:
Introduction and aim, Literature survey, Materials and method, Result, Discussion, Recommendation and further
tasks, Summary, Acknowledgement and References.
