In order to design the right solar panel system, it is essential to think carefully about every
decision. To select a system, investment costs and payback time are examined. In many
cases, these calculations are only done in a simplified way, with which we can get a more
inaccurate result than what actually happens with a system over the years. In order to be
able to optimize a system as a whole, it is necessary to examine it not only from the
economic side, but also from the energy supply safety and technology side. It is necessary
to develop a decision support system in order to get a comprehensive picture of the
individual systems and not only examine them from an economic point of view. The
triangular model is a decision-supporting decision-making method that enables the
evaluation of different systems from the point of view of three disciplinary approaches. The
model implements an optimum search procedure.
