Learning by doing seems to be the best method in education as students interact with their environment by forming it and by adapting knowledge. Interactive LEGO sets can play a great role in engineering and informatics’ education from the beginning of the primary school up to the university level. This paper introduces the LEGO sets and their possible role in education, the levels, methods and tasks applied in teaching and the steps taken toward programming. The programming solutions are shown in LEGO’s native programming environment and in Matlab and Simulink environment, too.hu_HU
