Abstract

This document summarizes the events of the July 7, 2005 terrorist attack in London and its background, presents the British emergency procedures, with particular emphasis on communication, and examines the communication improvements implemented in the London Underground since then. This summary is based mainly on material available on the internet, largely from British newspapers and websites, supplemented by material found on Wikipedia, where I have checked the sources individually.
