The Metaverse represents a rapidly developing digital platform that opens up new possibilities for innovation across various industries.The aviation industry, as one of the most technologically demanding and regulated sectors, is beginning to take an active interest in the potential of using metaverse in areas such as personnel training and certification, optimizing flight operations, aircraft maintenance, and improving customer experience.This paper aims to identify key areas where the metaverse can bring added value to the aviation sector, provides an overview of the use of the metaverse in the aviation industry, discusses the technological prerequisites for its implementation, and the challenges associated with integrating these new solutions
