Generational differences can be a source of many conflicts, even in the workplace.
We believe that intergenerational cooperation can be effectively achieved and encouraged
in a workplace if the generations understand and accept each other and have the empathy to
accept differences. This requires an appropriate educational programme and the right
corporate culture. In this paper, we present part of the results of our primary research on
young people in China. The main objective of the research was to analyse how generational
differences are perceived by young people in the workplace and how to increase the
effectiveness of cooperation while respecting differences.
