optimizing complex systems across various scientific disciplines. It simplifies natural and
social phenomena into mathematical frameworks, facilitating the identification of
relationships and forecasting system behavior. In the natural sciences, models play a crucial
role in climate science, economics, engineering, and medicine, with deterministic models—
particularly those based on differential equations—being fundamental in many applications.
In the social sciences, mathematical techniques support the study of human behavior,
economic systems, and decision-making, utilizing methods such as graph theory and game
theory. Additionally, mathematics plays a growing role in education through learning
analytics, statistical methods, data mining, and network analysis, enhancing decision-
making and personalized learning. This paper explores the diverse applications of
mathematical modeling, first in the natural sciences and then in educational sciences,
illustrating its broad impact on research and practice.
