Examining Student Motivation In Hungary And Vojvodina

Abstract

Student motivation represents one of the greatest challenges in education today. Many students show low levels of interest in the curriculum, which negatively affects both their academic performance and their overall attitude toward learning. Therefore, it is essential for educators to explore what truly motivates young people to learn and how these motivational factors may differ depending on age as well as social and regional background. In my research, I examine the factors influencing learning motivation across different age groups and regions, comparing Hungarian students living in Hungary and Serbia. The questionnaire-based survey provides an opportunity to gain insight into the sources of students’ motivation and to understand how these factors influence their approach to learning. The aim of this study is to identify the similarities and differences that shape student motivation, in order to develop a clearer understanding of how learners can be more effectively encouraged and engaged in the educational process. The results of the research may contribute to the development of practical strategies that educators can apply to enhance student motivation and thereby support more successful learning outcomes.
