Terrorista támadások a görög bankrendszer létesítményi infrastruktúrája ellen

Abstract

A terrorizmussal szembeni fellépés és a védekezés kérdésköre a biztonsági kutatások egyik lényeges elemévé vált, különösen a 2001. szeptember 11-i támadásokat követően. A szakirodalom a pénzügyágazat szolgáltatásait is a létfontosságú rendszerelemek közé sorolja, ellene elkövetett terrortámadásokat is említve. Ennek ellenére a bankrendszer infrastruktúrájának terrorizmussal szembeni védelme kevés figyelmet kapott.

Kutatásunkban a görögországi bankrendszer létesítményi infrastruktúrája elleni terrortámadásokat elemezzük a Global Terrorism Database adatai alapján. Célunk a megtörtént esetek vizsgálatából következtetéseket levonni, trendet, mintázatot találni és javaslatot tenni a hazai bankrendszer létesítményi infrastruktúrája ellenálló-képességének fokozására.

Eredményeinket hasznosíthatják a téma kutatói, az ágazat szereplői, a rendvédelmi szervek, valamint a jogszabályalkotó.

Counter-terrorism have become a key issue within the field of security studies, particu-larly after the attacks on the 11th of Sept-ember, 2001. Financial services are consi-dered as essential services in the literature with examples of terrorist attacks. Howe-ver, scant attention has been paid to the terrorist attacks against the banking industry’s infrastructure. This study investigates the terrorist attacks against the infrastructure of the Greek banking industry based on the data of the Global Terrorism Database. The aim of this paper is to analyse the attacks, identify trends and patterns and provide repommendations to increase the level of re-silience. The results may hold significance for researchers, operators of essential serices, law enforcement bodies and policy-makers.
