Mesterséges intelligencia és az érzelmek, avagy miért akar az ember Istent játszani?

Abstract

Dolgozatom témájaként a mesterséges intelligenciát választottam, azon belül is az érzelmekre fektetnék nagyobb hangsúlyt. A dolgozatom vázát Alex Garland Ex Machina (2014) c. filmje adja, amiben a megjelenő motívumokat, témákat más filmekkel – Spike Jonze: A nő (Her, 2013); Craig Gillespie: Plasztik szerelem (Lars and the Real Girl, 2007); Ridley Scott: Szárnyas fejvadász (Blade Runner, 1982); Steven Spielberg: A.I. – Mesterséges értelem (A.I. Artificial Intelligence, 2001); Duncan Jones: Hold (Moon, 2009) - illetve ebben a témában készült interjúkkal, tanulmányokkal szeretném kiegészíteni, alátámasztani, továbbá megvizsgálni azt, hogy hogyan működhet vagy működik az MI-k jelenléte a társadalmunkban. Ezen részben előkerül a szexualitás kérdése is. A mesterséges intelligenciához szorosan kapcsolódik a Turing-teszt, amiről szintén szeretnék szót ejteni, eredetéről, működéséről és főleg a hátrányairól. Filmelmélet és filmtörténet specializációs hallgatóként a legtöbb forrásom film, ezért az MI-kel kapcsolatos ismereteimet is ezek alapján szeretném átfogóan bemutatni. A dolgozatom több idézetet is tartalmaz, ezek mindegyike az Ex Machina c. filmből származnak.

The topic of my essay is Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) with an emphasis on the possible emotions of those. This study is based around Ex Machina (2014) a film by Alex Garland. In order to have a better outline of the motives and topics seen in the above said movie I reference different interviews, papers based around the subject. I mention other pieces of cinema in my article as well, such as Her (2013) by Spike Jonze, Lars and the Real Girl (2007) by Craig Gillespie, Blade Runner (1982) by Ridley Scott, A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001) by Steven Spielberg and Moon (2009) by Duncan Jones. Furthermore, I examine how the existence of A.I. could function in our society. This specific section will investigate several things, including the possibility of sexuality in such subjects. I also discuss the origins, operation, but mainly the disadvantages of the Turing test which is closely related to Artificial Intelligence. As a student specialised in film theory and history most of my resources are movies. Naturally, I would like to use these to present my knowledge of A.I. in a comprehensive manner. My essay contains several quotes, all of them taken from the motion picture, Ex Machina.
