In the centreof Bucharest, there is a building that stands out from the rest due to its Neo-Gothic style. It is known as the ‘Anglican Church’, one of the fewplacesof worship in Eastern and Central Europe built in the Victorian Neo-Gothic style. It was listed on the list of historical monuments in the city of Bucharest in 1965.This church is part of the Continentaldivision of the Churchof England. Its priests are the representatives of the archbishop of Canterbury in London.The presence of the Churchof England in Romania is linked to the intertwinedhistory ofthe Royal Houses of Romania, and Britain.
