Convergence of the Nelder-Mead method for con- vex functions

Abstract

We extend several result of Lagarias, Reeds, Wright and Wright [17] for various types of convex functions. The main main convergence theorem of [17] is also generalized to convex functions. We give counterexamples to indicate the tightness of the results.
