Nándor Hidegkuti, a former outstanding footballer and coach, is a
personality who connects the Arab world and Hungary in the field
of sports. This is particularly true in the case of Egypt, as he worked
for seven years as a specialist manager in the North African country.

football relations, in the present study, I undertake to present the
coaching career of Nándor Hidegkuti and, in particular, its period
in Egypt, based on contemporary (primarily) press and archival
sources. He coached the country's largest and most prestigious club,
Al-Ahly, from 1973 to 1980. This period was one of the most
successful periods in the history of the club
