This paper presents an up-and-running control system, using IoT hardware, for&#13;
multiple decentralized mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (dMVHR) units to&#13;
enhance the overall performance of heat exchangers and the air quality of a real-life&#13;
environment. The implemented control and monitoring system is able to measure the&#13;
thermal efficiency of the complete ventilation system under real working conditions.&#13;
Fan speed is automated based on the measured CO2eq levels in the bedrooms of the&#13;
building, however, manual control is also possible. Temperature, relative humidity and&#13;
CO2eq levels can be monitored live on the user’s smart device, while data can be exported&#13;
through Google cloud system. Data values can be stored and accessed any time by legit&#13;
users. The thermal efficiency of the individual units and the whole ventilation system was&#13;
investigated and experimentally verified under real-life conditions, using the implemented&#13;
centralized control and monitoring system.

This study examines the impact of crisis, on family businesses, caused by the&#13;
global financial crisis of 2008 and the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.&#13;
The impact of measures on the economy and the management of family businesses is being&#13;
examined, with a focus on preparation and implementation of measures related to family&#13;
enterprises during this period. The subject of our research was to find out what kind of&#13;
personnel measures were implemented by the management of family enterprises in order to&#13;
mitigate the negative impact of crisis situations and retaining the employees working for&#13;
family businesses. The attention is addressed to measures taken during the global financial&#13;
crisis and the crisis caused by COVID-19. The research is based on relevant data of&#13;
empirical surveys in order to find out what impact the above-mentioned crises had on the&#13;
entrepreneurial activity and management of these types of enterprises. The first phase of&#13;
the research was conducted in January-May 2018 (306 responses were obtained), while the&#13;
second phase was concluded in February-June 2022, where we obtained 289 responses&#13;
from the management of family enterprises. The software “Statistica” was used to evaluate&#13;
the research results. In addition to classical statistical methods, I also applied a statistical&#13;
method for data categorization, and the method of descriptive statistics. Spearmen and&#13;
Cramer’s correlation coefficient was used in the case of ordinal data. The metrics were&#13;
calculated by using Pearson’s coefficient. The result of the conducted surveys provided&#13;
information about the impact of economic crises on entrepreneurial activity of family&#13;
business. It has become clear what kind of measures these businesses introduced in&#13;
addition to economic and financial measures. Family enterprises were forced to implement&#13;
changes in organization and management, remuneration system, work requirements,&#13;
employment policy, as well as in employee motivation. Further important data of the&#13;
findings were the differences detected in the examined periods in terms of the degree of&#13;
negative impact on introduced measured during the crisis in order to mitigate the negative&#13;
influence on employment in family enterprises.

Optimally loading pallets is a challenge and can be a time-consuming task for&#13;
many industrial and logistics applications. To help solve this problem, we proposed an&#13;
augmented reality (AR) application that assists warehouse workers during the pallet&#13;
loading process. For this reason, an algorithm for solving the Pallet Loading Problem&#13;
(PLP) was defined first. All input data (name, dimensions and quantity of boxes that need&#13;
to be loaded on the pallet), which actually form a loading order, are then transferred to the&#13;
warehouse with the generated QR code. A warehouse worker scans the QR code and gets a&#13;
visual representation of how to load the boxes onto the pallet on the lens of their smart&#13;
glasses. The experimental results show that the proposed system successfully facilitates and&#13;
speeds up the process of shipping products from the warehouse to customers.

Today's terminology and definitions of compliance risk are various, and the&#13;
description of compliance risk assessment is heterogeneous in the literature. These&#13;
differences result in different expectations, processes, and methodologies in practice, which&#13;
do not support the widespread adoption of standardized compliance management systems.&#13;
This study is based on a comprehensive literature review. It aims to redefine compliance risk&#13;
and propose a structured model for the compliance risk assessment process. The study&#13;
provides a new framework for compliance risk assessment based on findings and gaps in&#13;
scientific papers, business reports, and relevant standards. It also introduces the Digital&#13;
Operational Resilience Act and its compliance aspects.
