Some notes on the dry density for sands E., Imre; Q.P., Trang Temesvári, Zsolt; Wührl, Tibor; Molnár, György A transfer function generation method is applied in the simplest form to find a relationship between the grading curve and the dry density. The method is based on the grading entropy concept and uses laboratory emax test data measured on some “optimal” grading curves. The goodness of results is tested using some additional laboratory emax test data of some “non-optimal” soils mixtures. As a by-product of the research, some comments are made on the “densest packing problem”.

Macro test for the testing of bonds E., Imre Temesvári, Zsolt; Wührl, Tibor; Molnár, György Some measured multistage oedometric relaxation test data of soils are discussed. This test reflect the energy storage capacity of the soil determined by the contact bonding behaviour of the particles. The results indicate that this test can be a candidate test for a mean particle contact bond qualification (reflecting the energy storage capacity of the bonds as an average) and for the determination of the tensile strength of (quasi-)saturated soils.

Matematikai versenyeink és a problémamegoldó gondolkodás Katona, János; Takács, Anna; Nagy Kem, Gyula Temesvári, Zsolt; Wührl, Tibor; Molnár, György Írásunk a Matematikai lapokban megjelent [Katona, Nagy Kem] és az utóbbi években felmerült újabb kérdések és problémák alapján összehasonlítja a magyarországi országos szintű matematika versenyek többségét. Egy adatbázist hoztunk létre a versenyek publikus eredményeiből, és ennek lekérdezései alapján vonunk le következtetéseket. A cikk egyéb megállapításai a szerzők tapasztalatait, véleményét is tükrözik, főként a matematika tárgy oktatására vonatkozóan és mélységükben a korrepetálástól kezdve a tehetséggondozásig terjednek, érintik az áltanos, a közép és a felsőoktatást. Kitérünk a pandémia által okozott nehézségekre. Érintjük a „tehetség”, a „jó tanár” és az „elit iskola” fogalmát is.
